Firstly I am keen to share with you that our grant application success ratio has once again increased! This year we have been fortunate enough to announce the new drag mats as well as soon we will have installed new water bubblers and new hoses. But the grant success doesn’t stop there! We have also now confirmed that we have been successful in being awarded grant funding to replace the existing split system with a new split system at either end of the clubroom making the rooms comfortable all year round! And we have also been successful with the North East Community Fund by being awarded funds to completely update all of our kitchen appliances! We cannot believe our luck and cannot wait to implement all of these great and well needed changes! We hope this is the beginning and that we can continue to make positive inroads, especially with the grants that are of value to help us with all of the things our members highlighted in the survey earlier this year; which is much needed upgrades to lighting, courts, fencing, and clubrooms. We will keep up the drive to improve these things!
Secondly I really want to encourage those that are interested in the trivia night that is scheduled for the Saturday 16th August to please register asap. The trivia night will be run by a professional who typically provides trivia nights to pubs and venues around inner Melbourne. It will be filled with great laughter and competitiveness to try and be crowned the Trivia masters of 2025! As we want to ensure we do not want to run at a loss, we encourage those keen to attend to register now so that we know how many people are planning on attending. Sadly if we do not reach the minimum number required by the 3rd August we may have to cancel the event. The intent of the Club Day is to provide joy to the Yallambie community without necessarily playing tennis so hopefully we can achieve that with this Trivia Night.
